As part of our efforts to reward our users for their hard work and effort, we have launched a new feature on our platform: OwlSmart Achievements.

Following the successful launch of our website in 2018, I am pleased to report that OwlSmart now includes questions for students to revise from Primary 1 to Primary 6.

A study by Fan and colleagues (2013) on 70 million ‘tweets’ on Weibo (a social site in China) found that happy tweets were shared among close relationships while angry tweets were shared by both close and distant relationships. This finding was clearly evident in the furore raised over a recent Facebook comment posted by a local educator, Ms. Lenny Rahman, who lashed out at the lack of parental responsibility of parents “from a particular race” who “do not even want to try to get involved with their kids’ education”.

The Parents Gateway app, a mobile app that enables schools to perform administrative functions as well as update parents on their programmes, was launched by Education Minister Ong Ye Kung.
